Top 3 places to admire fall colors in Quebec

The province of Quebec, in Canada, is renowned for its warmly-colored landscapes when cool weather announces the end of summer and the imminent arrival of winter. Some areas of Europe offer similar landscapes, but the abundance of maple trees in the forests scattered with coniferous trees gives Quebec its reputation as the best place to admire the beauty of the landscape.

But Quebec is big, and there are plenty of hardwood forests! That's why we've put together our top 3 places to visit to take full advantage of this temporary festival of colors. And the Bas-Saint-Laurent area is the place to be, more specifically in Ste-Luce-sur-Mer! Stay at Le Navigateur Ste-Luce and visit the following attractions, all within easy reach of the estate.

Some can stay on the shore to watch the flora take on a festive spirit, while others who want to venture further will be treated to a panoply of visual and olfactory experiences due to nature's bewitchment of park visitors.

Admire the Raoul-Roy belvedere, a little-known but easily accessible spot in the park, offering a panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River and the mountains and islands that make up and surround the park. It's the starting point for the Les Murailles trail, located on a rocky ridge. On the north side, sheer cliffs line the estuary, offering breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence, while on the south side you can admire the peat bogs and rural landscape of the region. This 3.9 km hike leads to the summit of the famous Pic Champlain, the highest point in Parc du Bic, at 346 metres above sea level, famous for its unique view of La Baie du Ha! Ha! and the park's landscape.
